X.86 Framing Format

The HSX 6000 supports the X.86 framing format as defined by ITU X.86/Y.1323 specifications. X.86 is a simple ITU standard, connection-less framing structure that encapsulates 802.3 Ethernet media access control (MAC) frames that support Ethernet LAN extensions over public or private WANs, allowing direct point-to-point (PTP) connections of Ethernet hubs and switches to SONET/SDH networks.
