Rob Keil
President, CEO and Founder

Rob co-founded Hammerhead in 2002, raised the Series A, served as VP of Marketing and Business Development and took the HSX 6000 from visionary concept, through development and testing with tier 1 service providers, and into general availability and network deployment. He co-founded Hammerhead as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Foundation Capital, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm.

Previously, Rob was the Vice President of Marketing at optical networking company Zaffire. Prior to Zaffire, Rob spent 4 years at Cisco as a Senior Group Manager for product management in the Multiservice Switching Business Unit, where he launched their flagship IP+ATM product line, the MGX 8800 series, and was responsible for 4 carrier product lines that generated over $300 million in annual revenue. Previously, Rob was a Group Manager, Product Planning at StrataCom and a Senior Product Manager at Motorola Codex. Rob spent his early career in business development with Intel, venture capital with Bain Capital, and strategy consulting with Bain & Company. 

Rob received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and his BS cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
